i was really excited when i got this phone. Its small and slim and fits easily into pockets and also looks really hot and people do tend to look at you when you are using it!! I had wanted the Sony Ericsson W580i for ages and now i've got it i find that there are a few downfalls to it. 1. Because its white, scratches and dirt (no matter how small) show up easily and make your phone look a little grubby. 2. At the back of the phone where it slides up and down, the orange backing tends to get scratched a lot especially if you tend to slide it up and down a lot. my phone isnt that bad but a couple of friends i know with the same phone have got really bad scratches on theirs. 3. No one else complains about this but i find the memory isnt enough. Its handy having a small memory card but if the phone's a walkman shouldnt it be able to hold more than 97 songs and a few pitures?? I've found that i have had to delete many old songs to fit newer songs onto my phone. 4. The shuffle shake feature is quite cool but nearly every Sony Ericsson Walkman has it so there isnt a big deal. 5. Camera is brilliant though it would be nice to have a flash with it. 6. the lights are amazing! the lights will change to match your theme and will also change from yellows, oranges and reds when you are on the Walkman. I've always preffered Sony Ericsson phones but i think the W580i could have been better made. As its so slim it makes it very fragile and could break quite easilly when dropped or left in a bag. =D*X

i was really excited when i bought this phone, but when i started using it i found some parts really annoyed me. 1) when you text too fast and you make a mistake you press the cancel button to delete, but 99% of the time i always ended up pressing the menu button (by accident), and my text disappears and saves in the draft folder. where i have to go bk to the inbox. 2) i found the texting is too slow-which slows down the texting and ending up making more errors. 3) within 3 weeks i notice couple of the buttons were cracked, i took it back to the store where i purchased, they said that they could not exchange it as the phone was still in working condition. within 4 months all buttons are now cracked!!!!!!!!!! 4) when i use the phone to listen to the radio and turn the volume up or down, it ends up jumping to a different channel. 5) the quality of camera phone is quite poor. and there is no flash. A)the only featues i really liked is the 'shake' track changer (although sometimes it jumps tracks on its own without holding on to tha button), B)the alarm setting (up to 5 for the same day)-which is ideal for people whose on medication etc. and finally C)the fitness-(pedometer, etc) ive always owned a sony ericsson and had really liked it, but i was not happy with this w580i. i really cant wait for my upgrade.
