The new Xperia Go is a rugged and durable Android smart phone that's both water and dust proof to take on the likes of the Motorola Defy Mini.
Running the Android 2.3 operating system the Sony Xperia Go offers a 3.5 inch scratch-resistant screen with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and is powered by a fast dual-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM.
On the reverse of the phone is a 5 mega pixel camera capable of shooting 720p HD video clips which can then be streamed to a TV using DLNA technology, on the inside Sony have included their Video and Music Unlimited services for access to millions of music tracks, films and TV shows and there's 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded further with MicroSD cards.
Although not indestructible, the Sony Xperia Go can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 mins thanks to its IP67 rating and if you're caught in a shower the screen will even function when using a wet finger!
Overall dimensions measure 111 x 60.3 x 9.8 mm with a weight of 110g and the battery provides up to 6.5 hours of talk time and 520 hours of stand by.
What we think of the Sony Xperia Go:Offering powerful Android features, a good camera and display with the added bonus that you can drop your phone down a toilet or in a puddle makes the Xperia Go a very handy phone, its pocket sized dimensions and same sized screen as the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S means that you're not carrying a monster around with you but it still packs a punch in the features department - ideal for those accident prone amongst us!
